Session Review - 28 October 2008

Bankroll: $411.12
Limit: NL25 SSS
Winnings: $5.70
Hands Played: 812
Time Spent: 177.6 minutes
Tables: 6

This session started with big suckout, i played A9 as a steal, and got called by a donkey with J2. Flop came with both J and 9, i bet out and got reraised. I should've folded but instead called all-in. After that, i played badly and was almost 8 stacks down at one point. However, i doubled up 3 times in 5 hands on the same table and was back to almost even. Here are those 3 hands.

Hand 1:

$0.15/$0.25 No Limit Holdem

UTG ($25.00)
UTG+1 ($34.70)

Flop: ($11.80, 2 players)

Turn: ($11.80, 2 players)

River: ($11.80, 2 players)

Final Pot: $11.80
BTN shows:
Hero shows:

Hero wins $11.25 ( won +$5.85 )
BTN lost -$5.40
SB lost -$1.00

I think the BU thought i was restealing against the SB without a hand so he called me down. He shows K2 off which was a really bizzard play. Immediately after that, i pick up Kings.

At this point i sensed that the CO (same player from earlier) was steaming and somewhat on tilt. He raised and i tried to take advantage of his mood by just pushing all in, knowing that i'm about 50% - 50% for a call here. He most probably doesn't have a monster hand here as well, as he would've just pushed all in with a monster hand. He calls and turns out he has AJ. No A hits the board and i take the rest of his stack. A few hands later i picked up AKo on the cutoff.

The play was check to be with a posted at UTG+1. I make the standard pot sized raise with my good cards. Button, BB and UTG+1 call me down. I hit a K with 2 diamonds on the board. UTG+1 bets out under 1/2 pot size, and i reraise him 3 times his raise. He calls, and i'm suspecting a flush draw at this point. Maybe even with top pair but worse kicker, either that or he had AK just like me. Flop comes hitting no one. He bets another $2, this time a severe underbet into the almost $17 pot. I pushed all in with my remaining $11, giving him abut 1:3 to call, he need 1:4 (9 outs / 37 non-outs) to call profitably with a flush draw, but does so anyway. He shows 3d8d, ridiculous hand to play. I was praying for a non diamond, and no diamond came on the river. I won the pot and hit almost break even for the session.

This was a really wild session for me, i was affected by a string of 3-4 beats i had early in the session and played a bit too loosely pushing all in with QK in mid position. I got lucky later on and managed to make a small profit to end the session. If my bankroll numbers don't addup, it's because im earning bonuses from my poker room.
